I got fired from a five-star hotel for eating buffet food. I lived in a convent and got expelled. I quit law, changed careers twice, and built a coaching practice while convinced I wasn’t good enough. None of it felt confident. But somewhere along the way, confidence showed up, not because I summoned it, but because I moved anyway.
This book won’t teach you how to “believe in yourself.” It will show you how to move without belief, act without certainty, and build the only kind of confidence that actually lasts: the one that comes from surviving what you thought you couldn’t handle.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Daniela Russo is a confidence and mindset coach based in Amsterdam whose work focuses on confidence, decision-making, identity transitions, and mental well-being.
Born in Italy, she graduated in law and began her professional life in corporate and international NGO environments before gradually shifting toward coaching and human development. Over the years, she lived and worked in different countries, navigating career changes, cultural displacement, and repeated reinvention. These experiences inform her perspective on confidence as something shaped through action, exposure, and lived experience rather than personality traits.
Daniela is a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming®, Coactive coach and works with individuals, teams, and organizations. Her coaching practice includes individual coaching, team coaching, leadership development, and mental well-being programs. She has supported hundreds of people in gaining clarity, navigating change, and strengthening trust in their own judgment and abilities.
In addition to her individual work, she has designed and delivered bespoke coaching programs for international organizations.
Daniela works internationally in English, Italian, and Spanish.
Working with Daniela was truly transformative. She helped me overcome self-doubt, understand my anxiety, and develop practical tools to manage it. I now feel calmer, more confident, and in control of my goals. Her support has been invaluable.
