One simple and effective way to reach your goals: why the small things matter.

“Sic parvis magna” was the motto of Sir Francis Drake and he probably intended it to mean “thus from small things, great things come”.

You may decide that you want to lose weight. Instead of committing yourself to follow a very strict diet or going to the gym seven days a week, you can decide to do something every day. You will do something every day no matter what, even if it’s just stretching for five minutes, or juice or drink more water.

You may want to improve your relationship. Then every single day you take action, and that action may be simply complimenting your partner, making them aware that you noticed them: “I love that you did this”.

The only important thing is that you must take action every single day in the direction of your goals. And it’s actually better to do a small thing every day because then you start to really feel that you’re succeeding. The actions you take on a daily basis determine the kind of person you become, the kind of life you lead, the kind of success you have.

It’s not difficult and it’s not the action, it’s the consistency every single day doing something that makes you a winner.

The moment  you commit to taking action every day you eliminate procrastination from your life.

Exercise how to reach your goals:

Write down the action you are going to take every day in the direction of your goals. Maybe there’s going to be a different action for each day, it is fine. By taking action every day, you are moving towards your goals, and, as you move to your goals, your goals are moving towards you. What you are moving towards is moving towards you much more rapidly when you take action every day.
